MORES Hot Topic Webinar Series 1 (2021/2022)

The Master of Health Research Ethics (MOHRE) Programme, jointly developed by the Faculty of Medicine of University Malaya and the Berman Institute of Bioethics, John Hopkins University proudly presents you our Hot Topics in Research Ethics Webinar Series. Disucssing on the topic, 'What is the Moral Universe of a Muslim Researcher?', Mehrunisha Suleman discussed on the findings from her DPhil research and book entitled Islam and Biomedical Research Ethics. Her research tackled some key understandied areas including the role of faith in moral deliberations within biomedical research ethics, the moral ancoert and fustration experienced by those conducting research with marginalised populations withn the Muslim community (e.g. marginalised women, sex workers and members of the LGBT community).
