Title: MOHRE Faculty Retreat 2023
The MOHRE Faculty Retreat 2023 was held on September 21, 2023, at Aloft, KL Sentral. The workshop involved program coordinators, course coordinators, as well as lecturers from the Master of Health Research Ethics (MOHRE) program. The attendees included 12 lecturers from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Malaya (UM), 2 lecturers from the Faculty of Law, one lecturer from the Faculty of Pharmacy, and one staff member from the University of Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC). The curriculum expert, Associate Professor Dr. Sean Tackett from Johns Hopkins University (JHU), served as the keynote speaker. He is also a collaborative researcher (international collaborator) for grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the US. The session conducted by him was more interactive, facilitating the exchange of opinions, ideas, and perspectives between participants and speakers regarding the MOHRE program and its implementation strategies for the academic calendar 2023/2024. The discussion focused largely on the challenges or issues faced throughout the MOHRE program and potential improvements for the future.
