Title: MOHRE Cohort 5 Meet and Greet

The MOHRE Cohort 5 Meet and Greet was a special event designed to extend a hearty welcome to the seven new students of the Master of Health Research Ethics program. This cohort comprised 5 Malaysian students and 2 students from China, making it a diverse and dynamic group.

Distinguished guests, including Prof. Jeremy Sugarman, Joseph Ali, and Associate Prof. Dr. Sean Tackett from Johns Hopkins University (JHU), were virtually present to offer their insights and perspectives. Additionally, we were honored to have Prof. Adeeba Kamarulzaman as a part of this gathering.

The event kicked off with introductions, allowing each student and MOHRE faculty member to get to know one another. As part of the orientation, essential guidelines and tips for thriving in Universiti Malaya were shared, ensuring that the students had a smooth transition into their academic journey. To add an element of fun and familiarity, a short tour around the Faculty of Medicine, UM was organized.

This Meet and Greet was not just an event; it was the beginning of an exciting academic adventure for Cohort 5. It set the stage for a supportive and collaborative environment where students could thrive and make lasting connections with their peers and mentors.
